Job summary

Evergreen FS, Inc. in Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join our agronomy team. This role provides training across sales and operations, with hands-on exposure to seed, precision farming technology, and farming solutions.

You will learn to develop targeted agronomy programs, manage customer relationships, and support field operations while pursuing required certifications and a CDL within the first year.

Qualifications

• Associates’ Degree in agriculture, marketing or business related discipline and 1-2+ years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willing to obtain CDL within first year.
• Ability to travel daily within trade area; occasional overnights.
• Ability to obtain CCA and Commercial Applicator certifications.
• Lift 51-75 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of the agronomy department including sales and operations.
• Develops territory and competitive analysis to understand the marketplace.
• Meet goals as established by supervisor.
• Learn to create agronomy programs for targeted accounts to grow business.
• Learn to utilize seed, precision farming technology, finance and other marketing tools.
• Collaborate with Crop Specialist on agronomy projects and trials.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions and support customer relationships.
• Assist with scheduling product deliveries, soil testing and crop scouting.
