Evergreen FS, Inc. in Illinois invites applicants to join our agronomy team as a trainee in sales and operations. You will learn all aspects of the agronomy department, develop market knowledge, and support customers from field to farm gate.

This entry-level role emphasizes training, travel within the territory, and opportunities to earn bonuses as you grow. A related degree and drive are required, with CDL obtainable within the first year.

Qualifications

• Associates’ Degree in agriculture, marketing or business related discipline, and 1–2 years of related experience or training.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Willing to obtain a CDL license within the first year of employment.
• Certifications: Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and Commercial Applicator certifications.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme weather, loud environments, and lift 51–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Training across all aspects of the agronomy department, including sales and operations.
• Develop territory and competitive analysis to understand the market.
• Meet goals as established by supervisor.
• Learn to develop agronomy programs for targeted accounts to grow business.
• Use seed, precision farming technology, and other tools to expand market share.
• Collaborate with Crop Specialists on agronomy projects and trials.
• Support marketing efforts and customer meetings to strengthen relationships.
