SiteOne Landscape Supply in Ashland, VA seeks an Agronomics Department Manager to drive growth in the specialty line of business. The role includes supporting field teams, coordinating vendor-led training, and delivering solutions for customers in agronomics, nursery, hardscape, and irrigation.

The position emphasizes technical product knowledge, ability to present value, and cross-functional collaboration across sales and store personnel.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in agronomics, nursery, hardscape, irrigation, or related product lines.
• Proven in-depth technical knowledge of product lines and industry trends.
• Ability to communicate value propositions and differentiate SiteOne’s products/services.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the sales process with Business Development Managers and Key Account Managers.
• Coordinate training sessions and product demonstrations with vendors to deepen customer knowledge.
• Prepare detailed planning and estimates for complex, high-volume projects.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge through speaking engagements and white papers.
• Develop customer/field support literature.
• Leverage sales tools to maximize growth in assigned accounts.
• May manage a small book of business and grow gross margin year over year.
• Support leadership in understanding impact of technologies on business performance.
