Job summary

SiteOne Landscape Supply is seeking an experienced Department Manager with agronomics expertise to lead the branch's agronomic department. You will partner with customers to meet needs, manage safety, and drive inventory, sales and service excellence.

You will train staff on the Agronomics product line, align with branch leadership on new technologies, and contribute to achieving departmental sales goals while supporting other branch departments and customers.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry or agronomic products preferred.
• Excellent customer service and management skills.
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals; including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgets.
• Willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.
• Line of Business Certification Level I or higher preferred for internal candidates.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Position Overview

Our Department Managers take the lead as the Agronomics expert in the branch, working closely with customers on any or all needs within the department to ensure excellence.

Skills We Are Seeking

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry and an understanding of agronomic or lawn care maintenance products, preferred

• Understanding of accounting fundamentals; including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgets.
• Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
