Job summary

SiteOne Landscape Supply in Wilmington, NC is seeking a bilingual Agronomics Department Manager to lead the agronomics range, work with customers, and ensure excellent service.

You will assist Branch Manager with sales/ops planning, drive safety, manage inventory, train staff, and partner with leadership to implement new technologies, supporting branch goals.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry and an understanding of agronomic or lawn care maintenance products, preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service and management skills.
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts; including debits, credits, AR/AP and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first environment by daily safety practice and leadership by example.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training and policy execution.

• Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable about the Agronomics product line and customer needs.
• Partner with branch leadership to implement new technologies and methods to positively impact business performance.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.

Position Overview

Our Bilingual Department Managers take the lead as the Agronomics expert in the branch, working closely with customers on any or all needs within the department to ensure excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Understand and execute the principles of inventory management, target customer mix and sales.
• Create a positive environment for employees which encourages teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNA.
• Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable of the Agronomics product line and customer needs to support achievement of departmental sales goals.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.

Skills We Are Seeking

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry and an understanding of agronomic or lawn care maintenance products, preferred
• Bilingual Proficiency - candidates who are conversational in English/Spanish are preferred
• Excellent customer service and management skills
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals; including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgets.
• Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
• For Internal Candidates Only: Line of Business (LOB) Certification Level I or higher, preferred
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
