Job summary

Pratt Industries in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a Customer Service & Operations Specialist to bridge customers, the sales team, and manufacturing. This role will own the entire order lifecycle and drive improvements in customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in distribution or manufacturing, strong MS Office and data management skills, and excellent communication. This on-site position reports to the Operations Manager and offers perks and growth

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 5 years in distribution or manufacturing.
• Proficient in MS Office and data management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mathematical ability to compute rates, discounts, and costs.
• Problem-solving with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries, orders, and complaints.
• Process orders, including complex purchase orders, in a timely manner.
• Maintain daily reports and forward confirmations to customers (Order Acknowledgements, ASN, COAs).
• Coordinate with accounting for credit forms and assist sales with account needs.
• Maintain accurate and organized customer files.
• Inventory control and management of inventory levels.
• Oversee the drop trailer program to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Process new product items and NIC documentation, coordinating approval meetings.
• Coordinate with warehouse to avoid issues and foster cross-department relationships.
