Job summary

gpac is seeking a highly experienced Service Manager for a multi-location Retail Ag Equipment company. Must excel in customer service and lead a team of technicians and service advisors, leveraging 5+ years in the ag equipment service industry and 2-4 years of management experience or 5 years combined diesel repair and service management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Some college or trade school required.
• Experience with major equipment brands preferred.
• 5+ years in a responsible position within the ag equipment service industry.
• 1-3 years of sales experience.
• 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience.
• 3-5 years supervisory/management experience.
• 5+ years of customer service experience.
• 5+ years of technical or mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall performance of the Service Department, meeting revenue and profit goals as defined in the annual and monthly plans.
• Manage customer relationships, department staff productivity, and service quality.
• Provide leadership and guidance to achieve department goals, promoting the company's vision, mission, and culture.
• Enforce safety practices and manage within OSHA guidelines.
• Handle recruitment, hiring, training, discipline, and firing to ensure competent staffing.
• Manage the appearance, upkeep, and security of the shop and related facilities.
• Make recommendations to the General Manager on staffing and compensation.
• Inform the General Manager of any issues related to service operations promptly.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
