Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Inputs Sales Representative to cover Upington and the Northern Cape region. You will build relationships with farmers, agronomists, and cooperatives, promoting fertilizers, seeds, and crop protection products while meeting sales targets.

This role requires a degree in agriculture, 3+ years in agricultural sales, strong communication and travel readiness. A company car, medical aid, travel allowance, and retirement fund are provided.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field.
• 3+ years in agricultural sales with inputs like fertilizers, seeds, or crop protection.
• Knowledge of crops in Northern Cape and farming practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to Upington and surrounding areas.
• Ability to use CRM software and MS Office.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets for agricultural inputs.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through visits, consultations, and follow-ups.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations to farmers on fertilizers, seeds, crop protection, and other inputs.
• Conduct product demonstrations and field trials to showcase efficacy of offerings.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and agricultural developments in the region.
• Process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Represent the company professionally at agricultural shows, field days, and industry events.
