Job summary

Community Minded Bank in Illinois is seeking an Agricultural Commercial Lender to grow and manage a mixed portfolio of agricultural and commercial loans.

Responsibilities include building relationships with ag producers and businesses, structuring and underwriting operating, equipment, livestock and farm real estate loans, and cross selling deposits and treasury services. Local market knowledge is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ag/commercial lending experience.
• Strong analysis of farm financials, cash flow and collateral.
• Ag background and local market relationships preferred.

Our client is a relationship driven Community Minded Bank serving farmers, ranchers and local businesses. It's looking for an Agricultural Commercial Lender to grow and manage a mixed portfolio of agricultural and commercial loans.

What you'll do:

• Build new relationships with ag producers and commercial businesses, and grow existing ones
• Structure, underwrite and present ag operating, equipment, livestock and farm real estate loans, along with C&I, CRE and equipment loans
• Manage a mixed portfolio: annual reviews, farm and site visits, collateral and covenant monitoring, and risk ratings
• Cross sell deposits, treasury management and other bank services
• Stay active in the community through cooperatives, chambers, ag groups and civic boards

What you bring:

• 3+ years of ag and/or commercial lending or credit experience at a bank, credit union or Farm Credit
• Strong analysis of farm and business financials, cash flow and collateral
• Bachelor's degree in ag business, finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
• An ag background and local market relationships are strongly preferred
