Job summary

The position is part-time (24 hours/week, 3 days, 8:30am–5:00pm) and nonexempt. Responsibilities include maintaining resource materials, taking inquiries, referrals, and client screenings, with AIRS

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of one year experience working with 60+ population.
• Skilled interviewing techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of programs and services for 60+ and caregivers.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients and professionals.
• Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update resource manual with information for 60+ individuals and caregivers.
• Answer calls and walk-in inquiries about services for 60+ and caregivers.
• Advocate for and assist with securing agency and community services.
• Refer clients/caregivers to appropriate professionals or agencies.
• Screen clients for home-delivered meals, personal care, and community programs.
• Address emergency and elder abuse prevention requests.
• Present agency services in the community and attend meetings and trainings.
• Maintain client records and prepare required reports.
