Power3, located in Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking an experienced Agile Developer to join their rapidly growing team. You will modernize legacy operational systems using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for writing Java Spring Boot based microservice applications, optimizing AWS services with Python, and building REST services. The position offers an excellent compensation package along with flexible employee benefits.

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting‑edge technologies.

The Microservices Developer will be responsible for:

• Writing Java Spring Boot based microservice applications utilizing AWS native technologies
• Utilizing Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
• Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
• Implementing CI/CD principles utilizing Maven, GitLab and GitOps
• Agile development and delivery of software
• Communicating and collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Poly - with CI poly within last 7 years
• BS + 9 years experience

Desired Skills (2 of the below):

• Java, Spring Boot or Python
• JSON Schema
• Microservice architectures
• CI/CD tools: AWS tools, Maven, GitLab & GitOps; Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible
• Database: NoSQL / MongoDB / DynamoDB query and schema design
• OAuth/OIDC implementation experience
• Test frameworks and automation to include Cypress and Cucumber

The projected compensation range for this position is $180K - $225K. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
