Job summary

Power3 Solutions is seeking an experienced Agile Developer to join a fast-growing team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on modernizing a legacy system through a microservices-based architecture using Java Spring Boot and AWS-native technologies.

You will write microservice applications, optimize AWS services with Python, and build REST interfaces with Spring, while applying CI/CD practices with Maven, GitLab, and GitOps in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Poly – with CI poly within last 7 years
• BS + 9 years experience
• Experience with Java Spring Boot and Python in microservices
• Experience with AWS native services and CI/CD tooling

Responsibilities

• Develop microservices using Java Spring Boot on AWS
• Optimize AWS services with Python such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
• Build REST services with Spring to filter and retrieve complex data objects

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

The Microservices Developer will be responsible for:

• Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
• Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
• Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
• Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
• Agile development and delivery of software
• Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders

Qualifications:

The projected compensation range for this position is $180K - $225K. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
