Role Description
The Agency Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Oklahoma City, OK. In this position, the representative will build and manage relationships with employers, benefits administrators, and brokers to grow Colonial Life’s presence in the local market. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and generating leads, conducting needs-based sales presentations, and coordinating enrollment activities for workplace benefits. The role also involves educating employers and employees on Colonial Life products, providing ongoing account support, and ensuring a positive enrollment experience. The representative will collaborate with internal teams, track sales performance, and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to learn consultative sales, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing new business in a B2B or insurance environment.
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills to support employers, brokers, and employees over the long term.
- Clear, professional communication skills, including presenting benefits information and educating diverse audiences.
- Solid organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple accounts, enrollment schedules, and administrative tasks.
- Comfort working with technology, such as CRM systems, enrollment platforms, and standard office software.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with local and regional teams.
- Previous experience in insurance, employee benefits, or financial services is preferred but not required; applicable state insurance licensing or willingness to obtain required licenses (Colonial Life provides online based study material).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in business, marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
