Job summary

Shelter Insurance seeks an Agency Recruiting Specialist to source, screen, and recommend qualified candidates for agency roles across its operating territory. The role includes frequent overnight travel, support to the Recruiting Manager, and completion of required screening steps.

Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, and presenting applicants; coordinating screening such as Credit Bureau, MVR, and background checks; and ensuring licensing requirements while travel is paid for by

Qualifications

• Superior communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Self-motivated with a goal-oriented approach.
• Ability to develop thorough knowledge of company products, policies, and philosophy.
• Willingness to travel overnight frequently (50%+).
• Ability to develop contacts locally for each vacancy and learn the area.
• Capability to obtain P & C and Life & Health licensing and maintain knowledge through industry courses (company paid).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for agency positions across Shelter's operating territory.
• Support Recruiting Manager by handling recruiting activities and other duties as requested.
• Order required screening for final candidates (Credit Bureau Report, Motor Vehicle Report, Criminal Background Check).
