Job summary

Shelter Insurance is seeking a recruiter to support agency openings across the Dayton operating territory. You will interview and recommend candidates, coordinating with leadership to advance final selections.

The role requires travel, strong communication, and the ability to obtain P&C and Life & Health licenses; company-paid courses and benefits are provided. Onsite Dayton, OH location with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and goal oriented.
Ability to gain thorough knowledge of company products, policies, and philosophy.
Willingness to travel overnight frequently (50%+).
Ability to develop contacts and learn the local area and community in person.
Ability to obtain P & C and Life & Health licensing and maintain knowledge through industry courses (company paid).
Ability to perform essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for agency openings across Shelter's operating territory.
Coordinate with hiring leadership to support the recruiting process for final candidate consideration.
Order a Credit Bureau Report, Motor Vehicle Report, and Criminal Background Check on final candidates.
