The Atlantic District in Blacksburg, VA, is seeking an Agency Manager who will lead our local team and shape the office culture. You will recruit and coach a growing sales staff, drive community-based growth, and ensure superior service for clients in the Blacksburg area.

Ideal candidates bring a proven track record in insurance agency leadership, budget oversight, and a passion for developing talent within a dynamic, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Property & Casualty or Life & Health Insurance License.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in insurance sales or agency operations.
• Proven history of building and mentoring high-performing sales teams.
• Expertise in local market development and community networking.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and agency profitability.
• Excellent public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Blacksburg office to ensure exceptional service standards.
• Recruit, train, and provide ongoing mentorship to a growing team of sales representatives.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our reach throughout the New River Valley.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust tactics to reach our growth milestones.
• Cultivate partnerships with local organizations and businesses to strengthen our community presence.
• Foster a collaborative office culture that encourages creativity, professional growth, and personal well-being.
