Job summary

Metro YMCA of the Oranges is hiring a part-time site-based role to support afterschool program operations. You will help maintain attendance, safety, and daily activities for children while following licensing rules and YMCA policies.

Responsibilities include supervising, assisting with snacks and homework, ensuring proper sign-in/out, and supporting events and trainings. Requires high school diploma and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, college credits/degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication with staff, parents and school staff.
• Ability to problem solve and align with YMCA mission.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance records for students and staff, submit rosters and reports.
• Ensure safety of children, maintain head counts during transitions.
• Verify authorized sign-in/out and record times.
• Follow First-Aid and emergency procedures and complete required forms.
• Use positive group management and address behavior per policy.
• Lead daily activities, snack support, and cleanup as required.
• Model professional behavior and promote YMCA programs.
• Assist with events, special programs, and annual campaigns.
• Maintain clean, sanitary environment and proper diaper-changing procedures.
• Adhere to licensing guidelines and MetroY policies; complete trainings.
