Job summary

Metro YMCA of the Oranges is seeking a dedicated Before/After School Assistant Site Supervisor for the South Mountain YMCA program. The role supports attendance, safety, and daily activity planning within a licensed afterschool setting.

The position requires 1 year supervisory experience and 1-3 years working with children, with CPR/First Aid/AED certifications. It begins September 2026 and ends June 2027; benefits and professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college credits/degree preferred.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• 1-3 years working with children in before/after school programs.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required.
• Mantoux test or vaccination proof within two weeks of hire; background checks as required by licensing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with attendance tracking and parent communication.
• Maintain child safety and supervise activities per policy.
• Lead activities, snack, homework support, restroom supervision, and cleanup.
• Maintain clean and sanitary environment; report maintenance issues.
• Plan and implement special events and promote YMCA programs.
• Complete required forms, reports, and professional development hours.
