The East Orange YMCA is looking for an Afterschool Assistant Site Supervisor to join our team for a part-time role. You will help supervise students, support daily operations, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities include attendance tracking, program activities, snack support, and coordination with staff and families. Required are a High School Diploma, CPR/First Aid/AED, and 1 year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, college credits/degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels including staff, parents and school staff.
• 1 year Supervisory experience.
• 1-3 years working with children in a group setting in Before/Afterschool programs.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required.
• Must complete background checks and licensing requirements.

Responsabilités

• Assist with maintaining attendance records and reporting.
• Ensure safety of children by following supervision standards.
• Lead activities, assist with snack, homework support, and cleanup.
• Promote YMCA programs and events to families.
• Plan and implement special events and maintain health/safety protocols.
• Attend required trainings and maintain certifications.
