Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in youth development or a related leadership role.
• Knowledge of child development and youth programming principles.
• Ability to plan and evaluate developmentally appropriate educational and enrichment activities.
• Experience with budgeting and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the afterschool site, ensuring high-quality programming and participant safety.
• Train, supervise, schedule, coach, and evaluate site staff and volunteers.
• Maintain staff-to-child ratios and adequate staffing for program operations.
• Plan and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities supporting positive youth development.
• Serve as primary YMCA contact for school administrators, families, and community partners.
• Promote recruitment and enrollment; support outreach for accessibility and sustainability.
• Monitor program quality and outcomes; implement improvements as required.
