Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking an Afterschool Site Director to oversee day-to-day operations at McCleskey East Cobb YMCA. You will plan activities, supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and support students’ learning during afterschool hours.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Program Director, maintaining files, and implementing safety protocols. Strong communication, organizational, and tech skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a credential meeting BFTS Site Directors requirements.
• Experience with school-age children in a group setting.
• Current CPR/First Aid training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online platforms (Google Classroom, Zoom).
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and ongoing screenings.

Responsibilities

• Create activities and instruction to support program goals for elementary children.
• Conduct daily assessments to ensure YMCA and BFTS compliance.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with the Program Director.
• Maintain staff and student files for compliance with Bright from the Start and YMCA.
• Compile attendance and other program data.
• Coordinate supply orders with the Program Director.
• Attend required trainings and contribute to program planning.
• Assist students with virtual learning assignments as needed.
• Implement YMCA COVID safety and branch operation protocols.
