Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Day Camp Site Lead to support the Youth Development Director in day-to-day camp operations at the McCleskey East Cobb YMCA. You’ll supervise staff, manage rosters, communicate with parents, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for school-age children.

Qualifications

Requires 18+ years and a high school diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience with school-age children in a group setting.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a day camp setting.
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, MVR, and related screenings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Supervise, plan, organize, and implement a structured program for school-age children.
Ensure administrative and programming decisions follow YMCA program standards.
Provide leadership to counselors and campers within camp groups.
Coordinate and supervise drop-off and pickup procedures and related protocols.
Maintain certifications and safety trainings and report incidents as required.
