Job summary

Harmonium in San Diego is seeking a Site Director (Pacific Beach) to oversee the afterschool and distance learning program, ensuring student safety and program quality. You will supervise staff, coordinate with school leadership, and manage paperwork and schedules for AM/PM operations.

The role requires 18+ years of age, relevant education/work experience, and strong organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have 48 completed college units OR pass the District’s Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam.
• Must have either a minimum of 12 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field OR a minimum of 12 months documented work experience in an ASES program.
• Must have 1 year supervisory experience of children & staff OR 1 year assistant supervisory experience within Harmonium OR demonstrated administrative and programmatic experience (attendance tracking, staff counseling/training, student support).
• Must have 1 year working in an afterschool program or group child care setting with elementary and/or middle school aged children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of students enrolled in the program.
• Collaborate with the principal to ensure the program meets expectations and provide monthly progress reports.
• Maintain designated school space in a clean and orderly manner.
• Monitor and approve employees’ timecards in a timely manner.
• Open/Close site every morning and evening.
• Manage devices used during distance learning and remote work.
• Work at least 90% of program hours with pre-approved schedule.
