Job summary

Discover After School in Oakland, FL is seeking an Assistant Site Director to support daily operations of the before- and after-school program. You will help set goals, manage schedules, and handle administrative tasks to ensure smooth program delivery.

The role requires 1–2 years of supervisory experience with children, strong English communication (Spanish a plus), and a commitment to safety. Work days are Monday to Friday with morning and after-school shifts, and compensation is $16 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of management experience working with children.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory Criminal Background Screening.
• Satisfactory Drug Screening.

Responsibilities

• Be a support for the director and counselors.
• Maintain attendance, absences and emergency information for each child; maintain records of schedule changes, behavior and incidents.
• Effectively supervise and evaluate job performance of counselors.
• Encourage open communication regarding concerns/issues with children, parents or co-workers.
• Present positive role modeling through all interactions with program participants.
