Job summary

Harmonium Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Site Director for the Pacific Beach location. The role includes supervising both in-person and distance learning activities, ensuring student safety, and coordinating with the principal to meet program goals.

The position requires a minimum of one year of supervisory experience in an afterschool or related setting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and staff. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have 48 completed college units OR pass the District's Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam.
• Must have either a minimum of 12 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field OR a minimum of 12 months documented work experience in an ASES program.
• Must have 1 year supervisory experience of children & staff OR 1 year assistant supervisory experience within Harmonium OR demonstrated administrative and programmatic experience (attendance tracking, staff counseling/training, student support).
• Must have 1 year working in an afterschool program or group child care setting with elementary and/or middle school aged children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of students enrolled in the program.
• Collaborate with the principal to ensure the program meets expectations and provide monthly progress reports.
• Maintain designated school space in a clean and orderly manner.
• Monitor and approve timecards in a timely manner.
• Open/Close site each AM & PM.
• Manage devices used during distance learning and remote work.
• Work at least 90% of program hours with pre-approved schedule.
