Job summary

St Mary's County Government seeks a Part-time Site Director to oversee before and after school care sites across multiple locations. You will plan monthly activities suitable for elementary students, ensure inclusive participation, and serve as the primary liaison with parents, coordinators, and school staff.

You will supervise lead teachers and aides, uphold licensing rules, and participate in monthly trainings and events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 400 hours of work with school-aged children in a licensed program or formal recreation setting.
• Must have completed 90-hour child growth and development and school age curriculum or be a licensed teacher.

Responsibilities

• Plan monthly activities developmentally appropriate for elementary school children.
• Communicate with parents, staff, and coordinators regarding children’s progress and needs.
• Review and implement accommodation plans to include all children in the program.
• Supervise and coach staff; enforce department policies and licensing regulations.
• Attend monthly staff trainings and meetings; assist in special events.
