Job summary

Harmonium, Inc. is seeking a Youth Leader for the Klassic Kids Extended Learning Program in San Diego. This part-time role supports students with homework, leads arts and crafts, and uses positive behavior strategies to foster social-emotional growth.

You will assist the Site Director in planning activities, supervise students, and maintain a safe, organized program space while meeting district guidelines. Requires 18+, 48 college units or proficiency exam, and 6 months' relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have 48 completed college units or pass District’s Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months of experience in after-school program, group child care, or babysitting elementary-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group activities that support child engagement and development.
• Attend all scheduled meetings, trainings, and agency functions.
• Assist the Site Director in creating activities aligned with Klassic Kids standards.
• Keep the program space clutter-free and complete janitorial tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly designated school area and ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all students.
• Oversee day-to-day activities while maintaining required ratios.
