arc After School and Experiential Education in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Site Coordinator to lead after-school programs and mentor staff. You will plan activities, manage a team, and coordinate with school partners to support student growth.

The role emphasizes safety, engagement, and collaboration with district staff. Some shifts may vary, and responsibilities include budget oversight and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in after-school programming operations and administrative skills.
• 1+ years of experience managing a team.
• Strong communication with kids, parents, school admin and teachers.
• Ability to supervise and support staff.
• Collaborative with all levels of staff.
• Professional attitude, integrity, confidentiality, discretion.
• Problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
• 48+ college credits completed or pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test negative and Live Scan background check.
• CPR and first aid training or certification within 12 months.
• English - Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily afterschool programs and activities.
• Ensure programs are engaging, age-appropriate, and promote academic, social, and emotional development.
• Recruit, train, and manage afterschool program staff.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for school administration and foster partnerships between school and afterschool staff.
• Develop staff schedules, assign duties, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Provide ongoing professional development and training to enhance staff effectiveness.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all staff and students.
• Address student behavior issues in a positive and constructive manner.
• Monitor student attendance and engagement, addressing concerns with parents and school staff as needed.
• Collaborate with district staff to support program goals and ensure alignment with school and community needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to share updates on student progress and program activities.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and program evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, including licensing and safety requirements.
• Develop and manage the program's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Oversee program setup, including materials, space, and equipment.
• Coordinate transportation and meals for students as needed.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the afterschool program, representing the organization positively to all stakeholders.
