Job summary

The Assistant Site Director serves as the primary on-site supervisor at assigned afterschool childcare locations, typically serving sites with smaller enrollment. This role manages day-to-day operations, ensures safety, engages children and families, and implements YMCA-wide curriculum, with mentoring and coaching from a Site Director.

• Meets one of the educational routes outlined by state licensing.
• Shows relevant early childhood education knowledge or experience.
• Compliance with health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site supervisor during program hours.
• Implement association-wide curriculum and enrichment activities.
• Supervise aides and teachers to ensure quality program delivery.
• Maintain communication with parents and caregivers.
• Ensure licensing, health, safety, and emergency procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate attendance and program records.
