Job summary

Sevymca in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking an Assistant Site Director to lead the day-to-day operation of afterschool locations with smaller enrollment, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for children and families.

This role mentors aides and teachers, implements YMCA curriculum, maintains records and attendance, communicates with parents, participates in mentoring and trainings, and supports site leadership to ensure program success.

Qualifications

• Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law for licensed childcare centers.
• Bachelor’s degree in ECE or child development with relevant work experience.
• CPR & First Aid certifications may be required by program standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-site supervisor during program hours and ensure safety and engagement.
• Implement association-wide curriculum with enrichment activities for children.
• Supervise and mentor aides and teachers to ensure quality delivery.
• Maintain accurate program records, attendance, and documentation.
• Communicate with parents and act as on-site point of contact for daily concerns.
