Job summary

Right At School is seeking a Program Manager in Port Washington, NY to oversee after‑school enrichment with a focus on safety, engagement, and family communication. The role supports ongoing school partnerships and staff coaching, ensuring high standards of program delivery.

The schedule is Monday–Friday with an afternoon shift from 2:35 PM to 6:30 PM, up to 19.58 hours weekly. Salary ranges from $22.00 to $27.00 per hour based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience balancing competing priorities and delivering quality service to stakeholders.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
• Strong communication skills; oral, written, and visual.
• Ability to model professional standards with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
• 18+ years of age.
• Identify and submit proof of MMR.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Joy: model professional standards and ensure safety and joy; maintain site documents and policy compliance.
• Safety Assurance: support and report on safety protocols for participant well‑being.
• Effective Communication: engage with families, clients, peers and children; respond to inquiries during program hours.
• Documentation and Compliance: maintain accurate student check-in/check-out records and attendance procedures.
• Daily Routine: implement daily activities, curriculum, and safe engaging environments.
