Job summary

YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Site Counselor for their Afterschool Program. This role is responsible for leading planned activities for elementary-age children in compliance with YMCA standards. Ideal candidates will have experience with kids, strong communication skills, and must be CPR certified.

The position is based at the Carl E. Sanders Family YMCA, providing an engaging environment for kids' development and learning.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Prior experience working with school-age children.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities for elementary-age children.
• Maintain compliance with YMCA and BFTS standards.
• Assist students with virtual learning assignments.

Skills

Experience with school-age children

Verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Familiarity with Google Classroom and Zoom

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
