The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is hiring a Site Counselor to lead elementary-age activities in our afterschool program at the Robert D. Fowler Family YMCA.

You will plan and implement engaging activities aligned with Bright from the Start and YMCA standards, supporting students’ school success and safety. Ideal candidates are at least 18, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and can communicate effectively with families, staff, and students.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• HS Diploma or equivalent and minimum BFTS credential.
• Experience with school-age children in group settings preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online platforms (Google Classroom, Zoom).
• Background check requirements including GCIC/NCIC and fingerprinting.

Responsabilités

• Lead and plan activities for elementary-age children in afterschool programs.
• Ensure compliance with Bright From the Start and YMCA policies.
• Coordinate with Site Director on program needs and safety.
• Maintain records and assist with attendance and reporting.
• Support students with virtual learning assignments as required.
