Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking an Site Counselor for the Alpharetta location to lead elementary-age activities and support school-day learning. You will follow Bright From the Start and YMCA standards while delivering a safe, engaging afterschool program.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Site Director, maintaining records, and assisting with virtual learning tasks. Must meet BFTS requirements and have a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Have minimum credential meeting BFTS requirement and HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with school-age children in group settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate program according to BFTS and YMCA policies and procedures.
• Create an engaging environment with activities to support program goals.
• Coordinate with Site Director on attendance, supply orders, and program planning.
• Assist students with virtual learning assignments as required by their school district.
• Complete monthly self-assessments and report concerns to Site Director.
