Job summary

YMCA of Metro Atlanta is looking for a Site Counselor to lead elementary-age children in various activities designed to support their development. The role involves planning, operating programs per guidelines, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Ideal candidates will be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have experience working with children. The YMCA values diversity and does not discriminate based on any protected characteristics.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Prior experience working with school-age children in a group setting is preferred.
• Current certification in CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned group in various planned activities.
• Operate program according to YMCA policies.
• Create an environment supporting program goals.

Skills

Excellent verbal/written communication skills

Experience with Microsoft Office

Knowledge of internet technology platforms

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent

BFTS credential requirement
