Job summary

Covington Independent Public Schools is seeking a Community Learning Center (CLC) Coordinator for Ninth District Elementary School. This role leads afterschool and summer programs, focusing on academics, SEL, and family engagement, aligning with district goals and the 21st CCLC grant.

You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, partnerships, and data reporting, while ensuring safe, inclusive programming that supports student success and transition readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; education or related field preferred.
• At least two years of related professional experience in education, youth development, or program coordination.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate out-of-school time programming.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, staff, and partners.
• Leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff; coordinate multiple partners.
• Use data to identify needs, monitor progress, and inform planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate afterschool and summer programming.
• Align activities with district priorities and Portrait of a Learner.
• Collaborate with staff and partners to support academic achievement and enrichment.
• Coordinate family learning opportunities and connect families with resources.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to standards and district pacing.
