TBD School in Portland, OR is seeking a Community Learning Center Program Assistant for the after-school program. The role supports day-to-day operations, student supervision, and family communication under the Site Coordinator and CCLC leadership.

The position emphasizes inclusive, trauma-informed practices and bilingual outreach. It requires 3.5 hours daily, with potential trainings and evening meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work respectfully with diverse student and family communities.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Dependable and able to follow through on assignments.
• Basic technology skills for data entry and communication.
• Oregon or Washington State Driver's License, or ability to get to and from work in a timely manner.
• Medic First Aid Card or willing to obtain within the first 60 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Welcome students and manage daily attendance and transitions.
• Supervise during snack, academic support, and enrichment activities.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment and address behavior.
• Prepare, distribute, and clean up materials for activities and events.
• Alert supervisors to emerging student or staff needs.
• Greet and support families at sign-in/sign-out and communicate positively.
• Assist in family engagement events and bilingual outreach.
• Support outreach to multilingual families and culturally responsive practices.
• Record daily attendance and maintain participation logs.
• Gather documentation needed for grant compliance.
• Maintain organized student files, permission forms, and inventories.
• Collaborate with site coordinators to align school-day and after-school experiences.
• Build relationships with students, families, staff and community partners.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings as required.
