Job summary

City of Seattle’s Seattle Parks and Recreation department seeks a Community Learning Center (CLC) Coordinator to support After-School and enrichment programs at SPS middle schools. You will coordinate activities, supervise staff and volunteers, manage contracts, and ensure safe, inclusive environments for youth and families.

Qualifications

• Requires one year of experience in developing and coordinating recreation programs, including two years of supervision experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Program Administration, Recreation or related field (or a combination of education, training, and/or work experience which provides the ability to perform the work of the class).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise, and manage after-school programs and events for middle school youth and families.
• Monitor financial transactions and maintain budget records in alignment with city and state requirements.
• Prepare financial reports, registrations, attendance, invoices, contracts, and outcomes.
• Ensure participant safety and respond to emergencies when necessary.
• Provide leadership and build teams; foster partnerships with schools and community groups.
• Supervise activity instructors and volunteers per department policies.
• Prepare and distribute marketing materials.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and collaboration with school staff and families.
