Job summary

Right At School is hiring an Educator to lead after-school activities at Pennoyer School District. You’ll manage attendance, guide enrichment lessons, supervise homework time, and ensure a safe, structured environment for students after school.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred).
• Ability to lead groups of children in activities and games.
• Outstanding customer service and communication with children and adults.
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part‑time schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel during shifts.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to support additional program locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons for the age group.
• Facilitate homework time and assist with academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions in a safe environment.
• Address minor conflicts or behavior issues with positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up/drop-off about their child’s day.
• Report incidents or safety concerns to the Program Manager; log reports.
• Set up and clean up program space and materials each day.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with staff.
