Job summary

SciGenie in the Ashburn/Aldie, VA area is hiring an enthusiastic After-School STEM & Robotics Instructor for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 2:00 PM–3:30 PM. This part-time role includes paid training, a provided curriculum, and materials.

You will lead hands-on activities, guide elementary students through experiments and building challenges, and foster a safe, energetic learning environment. Training is provided, and opportunities for additional hours through camps and events.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working with children.
• Must have reliable transportation to Ashburn/Aldie area.
• Must be able to complete required background screening.
• Previous teaching or childcare experience is a plus, but not required.
• No prior STEM teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, hands-on science and robotics activities.
• Teach lessons using SciGenie-provided curriculum and materials.
• Help students build, experiment, problem-solve, and explore STEM concepts.
• Create a positive, energetic, and safe learning environment.
• Manage small groups of elementary-aged students.
• Set up and clean up materials before and after each class.
• Communicate professionally with SciGenie staff and school personnel.
• Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance.
