Job summary

SciGenie is seeking an enthusiastic After-School STEM & Robotics Instructor to join our team in the Ashburn/Aldie area. The role involves leading hands-on activities for elementary students, introducing them to STEM through experiments, robotics, and creative problem-solving.

No prior STEM teaching experience is required; paid training, curriculum, and materials are provided by SciGenie. The position is part-time with classes in the Ashburn/Aldie area.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy working with children (enthusiastic and patient).
• Energetic, patient, dependable, and professional demeanor.
• Comfortable speaking and leading activities in front of a group.
• Interest or experience in STEM, robotics, or education is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to Ashburn/Aldie area schools is required.
• Able to successfully complete required background screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, hands-on science and robotics activities.
• Teach lessons using provided SciGenie curriculum and materials.
• Help students build, experiment, problem-solve, and explore STEM concepts.
• Create a positive, energetic, and safe learning environment.
• Manage small groups of elementary-aged students.
• Set up and clean up materials before and after each class.
• Communicate professionally with SciGenie staff and school personnel.
• Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance throughout the program.

About the Position

SciGenie is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable After-School STEM & Robotics Instructor to join our team in the Ashburn/Aldie area.

If you enjoy working with children and have an interest in science, technology, engineering, robotics, or education, we would love to hear from you! Our instructors lead fun, hands-on after-school activities that introduce elementary-aged students to STEM through experiments, building challenges, robotics, and creative problem-solving.

Schedule

Candidates should be available:

• Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
• Approximately 2:00 PM-3:30 PM
• Programs are located at schools in the Ashburn/Aldie, Virginia area
