Job summary

Mad Science of DC is hiring energetic instructors to lead hands-on elementary science workshops after school. You’ll deliver 60-minute sessions with 10–20 curious kids, fostering a safe, engaging learning environment.

Training and all materials are provided, so you can focus on experiments and classroom leadership. We’re looking for an education or STEM student, tutor, or camp counselor with a reliable vehicle and afternoon availability.

Qualifications

• Afternoon availability during school dismissal (2:30 PM–5:30 PM) on at least 2 weekdays.
• Youth experience in teaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or childcare.
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to transport lab kits.
• Background check; costs covered.

Responsibilities

• Lead interactive, 60-minute science sessions for groups of 10–20 kids.
• Manage a safe, structured classroom using provided guidelines.
• Transport weekly lab kits to schools and perform quick setup/pack-up.
