Job summary

Mad Science of DC is hiring energetic instructors to lead hands-on elementary science workshops after school. You’ll run 60‑minute sessions for groups of 10–20 students, using prepared kits and clear classroom guidelines.

Qualifications include a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license, afternoon availability (2:30 PM–5:30 PM) on at least two weekdays, and youth experience. A background check is required, with costs covered, and paid training plus ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Reliable personal vehicle with valid driver’s license.
• Afternoon availability 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM on at least two weekdays.
• Youth experience (e.g., teaching assistant, tutoring, camp counselor, coaching, or childcare).
• Background check required; costs covered; MCPS/DCPS clearance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead interactive, 60‑minute science sessions for groups of 10–20 kids.
• Manage a safe, structured classroom using provided guidelines.
• Transport weekly lab kits to assigned schools; perform quick 15‑minute setup/pack‑up.
