Job summary

Mad Science of DC seeks an energetic After-School STEM Teacher to lead hands-on science activities for elementary students (K-6). The role is ideal for STEM students, teachers seeking extra income, or anyone passionate about youth mentorship.

Work 2–4 afternoons weekly, typically 3:00 PM–5:30 PM, with kits picked up weekly at Falls Church, VA storage. No lesson planning required; curriculum and scripts provided.

Qualifications

• Own a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Able to work 2–4 afternoons per week.
• Experience with groups of children (camp counselor, tutoring, coaching, babysitting, etc.).
• Willingness to complete standard child safety and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive, 60-minute science workshops for groups of 10–20 kids.
• Deliver curriculum as provided; no lesson planning required.
• Transport lesson kits to local schools.
