Job summary

Mad Science of DC is seeking an energetic After-School STEM Teacher to lead hands-on science activities for elementary students in the Silver Spring area. This part-time role offers ultraflexible scheduling with 2 to 4 afternoons a week, usually between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM.

You will receive a fixed pay of $75 per school visit for a 60-minute workshop, with setup/pack-up time included. Curriculum and materials are provided, and you will transport kits from our warehouse in Silver Spring, MD.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in educational settings.
• Ability to deliver engaging, hands-on science activities.
• Willingness to complete standard background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead 60-minute science workshops for groups of 10–20 kids.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate STEM activities.
• Follow provided curriculum and ensure safe class management.
