Job summary

Mad Science of DC in Falls Church, VA is seeking an energetic After-School STEM Teacher to lead hands-on science and technology activities for elementary school children (K - 6th grade). This role is ideal for education or STEM college students, teachers seeking extra income, or anyone passionate about youth mentorship.

You will deliver a 60-minute workshop to groups of 10–20 kids, using our curriculum and equipment, and coordinate kit pickups weekly from our Falls Church storage facility.

Qualifications

• Reliable personal vehicle with valid driver's license.
• Afternoon availability after school (2+ days per week).
• Experience working with groups of children (camp counselor, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
• Willingness to complete standard child safety and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, hands-on 60-minute workshops for groups of 10–20 kids.
• Instill a love of learning by making science topics accessible and entertaining.
• Safely manage the classroom using the provided curriculum and equipment.
