Job summary

ABS Kids in Centerville is seeking a Part-time Behavior Technician to support children with autism during the 3pm-7pm shift. No experience required; we’ll train you on the job, and those with nanny, paraprofessional, teacher, CNA, or caregiver backgrounds are welcome.

You'll use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills, collect progress data, and provide one-on-one client support in a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• A heart for helping kids and a calm, steady presence.
• Eagerness and energy to play and engage.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and locations.
• Tech savviness to learn data collection software and basic office tools.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child.
• Use play and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social skills.
• Move in and out of activities, get up and down off floor as needed.
