Job summary

ABS Kids is seeking on-site, part-time Behavior Technicians in California to support children with autism using ABA therapy. You will help kids develop real-life skills through play, data collection, and one-on-one guidance in a safe, respectful environment.

No experience is required; training is provided and paid on the job. We offer paid RBT certification, drive time reimbursement, a 401(k) with match, and PTO earned for hours worked.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children (any setting) or adults with special needs
• A heart for helping kids
• A calm, steady presence
• Eagerness and energy to play
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations
• Tech savviness- learn our data collection software and use basic office software

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child!
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social/ emotional skills
• Get up/ down off floor often, move quickly
