Job summary

ABS Kids is hiring part-time Behavior Technicians for afternoon shifts in Taylorsville, UT. You will support children with autism using ABA techniques, play-based activities, and data collection to track progress.

No experience? We’ll train you on the job and help you obtain RBT certification. A flexible schedule, mileage reimbursement, and on-the-job training are provided as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• A heart for helping kids.
• A calm, steady presence.
• Eagerness and energy to play.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations.
• Tech savviness - learn our data collection software and use basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child!
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social and emotional skills
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly
