Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional to run after-school programming for members aged 6–18, Monday through Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., with activities in games room, arts and crafts, and teen programs.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Club Director, you will deliver BGCD/BGCA programs, maintain a safe, engaging environment, build relationships with members and parents, and help foster positive life choices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ to work with youth; 21+ to work with teens or drive.
• Background check required; at least one year of experience with children.
• Minimum 6 months in youth development or related training.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral issues.
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and problem-solve.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided on hire).
• Valid state driver's license.
• Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Sound judgment to coach members both instructionally and socially.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Competency across all Club program areas.
• Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Delivers age-appropriate programs and activities reflecting BGCD/BGCA core areas for ages 6–18.
• Develops and delivers BGCD/BGCA programs across rooms and activities.
• Implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services.
• Ensures safe implementation of programs and proper equipment use.
• Orients new members to programs, safety rules, and opportunities.
• Maintains attractive, neat bulletin boards and current notices.
• Promotes daily participation in learning center programs and events.
